| California group says iPhone uses illegal toxins
http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/34382/145/
Oakland (CA) - An environmental activist group in Oakland has filed a
complaint against Apple saying the device contains toxins prohibited by
California law.
The group, The Center for Environmental Health, says the iPhone violates
Proposition 65, which requires any product that exposes reproductive
toxins or carcinogens to have a warning label. Otherwise the product
must be taken off of store shelves.
......
Yesterday, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill that made
phthalates illegal in children's toys. The activist group claims the
iPhone's chemical elements could cause exposure of the hazardous
substance to reach everyone, including children.

| You or they were planning on eating some iPhones? Or you know 2 year
olds with moths big enough to injest them?
Sounds like a lame publicity grab to me.

| Naw. He is concerned about "reproductive toxins".
You know. The kind that happen when you set the phone to 'vibe', put it in
your crotch and repeatedly call yourself from another number?

There is actually a third-party app for the iPhone that does nothing but
turn the vibrator on (it's called irate, as in eye-brute--not kidding).

Uh, as in "eye-brate" (damned spell checker).
