SIM Card in Phone and Wireless Card

Hi,

I've had a Treo 650 for a while with an unlimited data plan, and I got
to wondering. Is it possible to take the SIM card from my Treo and
occasionally use it in a wireless card (i.e, something from Novatel or
Sierra)? Tethering is not always an option, and I'd rather not purchase
a separate data plan just for the once-a-month type of usage I'm
envisioning.

I looked in the FAQ, but I couldn't find something that specifically
addressed this.
