Posted without comment, draw your own conclusioons.
Usage-sensitive Push to Talk plans are billed in full-minute
increments. Cingular charges a full minute for every fraction of the
last minute used. Chargeable time may include approximately thirty
seconds of additional usage after the last person in a Push to Talk
conversation has released the talk button. Push to Talk usage is
incurred for unanswered calls if you are active on the Push to Talk
system. You may remain logged in to the Push to Talk system if you
roam out of coverage area. Push to Talk service is available only
between Cingular Push to Talk subscribers

And your point is?????
All cell phone companies bill calls rounding up the last minute. This
is also the same with long distance calls on your land line.
Cingular also bills for unanswered calls where you allow the phone to
ring for over 30 seconds. I don't know what other carriers do in this
case.

Unless they've changed the pricing structure since the merger, Nextel used
to bill their PTT in six second increments.

Good point. People need to know this type of information otherwise
they get all upset when they get their bill. So good POINT!
