Out of cycle upgrade

| This past December I upgraded from a black RAZR to a blue RAZR(yes it was a
vanity thing). 3 months later like my RAZR began to take on a life of its
own and vibrate when calls came in, and sometimes did not vibrate when calls
came in. I contacted Cingular/ATTWS and they were more then willing to send
me a refurbished phone. This will be the 3rd time I have to replace a new
RAZR with a refurbished RAZR. Needless to say, I am getting tired of
replacing new phones with used phones within the first 3 to 4 months of
ownership.
Has anyone been successful in getting Cingular/ATTWS to allow you to
purchase a new phone at upgrade pricing in a situation like this? I
contacted them and they said no. I also mention that I have been a Cingular
customer since the days of Nynex Mobile(when the phone was a big box in my
trunk), then Bell Atlantic Mobile, then Cellular One, then Cingular, then
ATTWS, then Cingular and now back to ATTWS.
thanks for any input

| I have had 7 RAZRs replaced in a row. After by initial unit began having
problems, the second unit had bluetooth reception issue, the next
replacement was wrong color, the next had no light on the keypad, the
next no tension on some keypad buttons, the next had a bluetooth
reception problem and random rebooting, the next had a bluetooth
reception again. I finally was given the choice if swapping for a
different model. I stuck with Moto brand but stayed away from RAZR. I
now have a SLVR.

If you had your first phone replaced by cingular, then you had your
replacement replaced, Cingular (at&t) will if you ask, send you a NEW
phone. You have to ask them or they will continue to send your
refurbs.
Cheers!
