Hi all

I have a friend that is presently with Verizon Wireless, but says he
has had some billing problems with them that they will not fix. In any
event his contract with them is just about up and is considering
moving to a different carrier. Other than Verizon his choices are
Alltel and Union Wireless. Not sure what he did not like about
Alltel, but in any event I think he is going to go with Union. They
are a GSM carrier that serves most of Wyoming plus parts of Idaho,
northeastern Colorado, northwestern Utah. Looks like their coverage is
good here in Wyoming or least the 20 or 30 new towers installed last
year and the 10 for this year make it look good. I am guessing thy
roam on the AT&T network and was wondering what their coverage is like
in the Denver area. I guess I should say along 1-25, US-36,
Louisville, along and around Colorado Blvd. in the Glendale/Cherry
Creek Mall area, DTC, and Castlerock, as those are areas that
frequents for business. If anyone has experience with how well AT&T
works in those areas please reply.

Here in Denver, I would not subscribe to AT&T/Cingular because they have the
worst coverage, except for Cricket, locally. However, as a carrier to roam
on for a Union Wireless customer, there is no problem. Someone coming here
on business will be on main roads, hotels and office buildings which are
adequately served.

Not knowing where your friend lives, I would tentatively endorse siging up
with Union. They are investing a lot in their network and have excellent
customer service. Actually, their only weak spot is their roamiing
agreement with AT&T/Cingular. Personally, I would choose Alltel over
Union, but it depends greatly on where you live and where you travel. In
rural Colorado, Union roams on Alltel.

I am in that area on business several times per month and Sprint works very
well.
