Is there any way to disable the PTT feature on the Z520a phone?

I am accicentally hitting it and I would just like to delete that
feature.

I would also like to see if I can make my side buttons control the
volume. It that possible?

There is a way of doing the first item on your wish list.
As to the second, I am not sure.
