| The questions: "Is the charter that Navas posted for this newsgroup
correct?" If it is not correct, then we should correct the errors and post
the correct charter. I have noticed that there are other usenet newsgroups
that have charters and are unmoderated.

ALL non-alt. newsgroups, and I believe most if not all alt. newsgroups,
have charters.

Postulate a group whose intent is to destroy the United States from within
via anarchy and bankruptcy. The actions of the United States Congress are
completely consistent with the actions one would predict from such a group.

All Big Eight newsgroups have charters.
Many alt newsgroups have charters, but not all of them.

Other than the posting of the charter to groups that it doesn't apply
to, he seems to have changed in the past month or so. I only see
follow-ups to his posts, as I have him kill-filed, but there have been
very few of these.
It seems that he's taken the April 1 posting about the "New Navas" to
heart, and has reduced the shilling and the lies significantly. He's
still illegally posting copyrighted news stories, but that's a
relatively minor issue.

Don't let "Mij" bait you. He posts these innocent-sounding little
questions just to troll for angry repes (i.e. "Doesn't John OWN this
group?" or "Didn't John start all of the cellular groups?") Word for word,
Mij is probably the biggest trouble-maker here!

Yes, and alt.cellular.attws does not have the charter that you post there, but
as an XXX, you continue to post an inappropriate and inapplicable charter

By showing your annoyance you encourage him to continue his
inappropriate posting. He does it solely to annoy people--don't
encourage him, just kill-file him.

| Since the charter is not appropriate for the attws group, Navas should stop
posting it there. Navas, have you considered only posting the charter to
this newsgroup and not posting it to the attws newsgoup? Maybe that would
stop some of the hostility towards you. What do you think?

Same topics get posted in both groups.
I like the other group better. They're my kind of people.
I think I'll post there.
Wait - Only 12 people read both groups, anyway.
I'm so confused...

I think everyone should write their own charter, then all meet in a

Well I guess it should read, "Please post all non-spam posts to
alt.cellular.attws.
The alt.cellular.cingular charter does not apply to alt.cellular.attws.
It's more acquiescing to the wishes of AT&T, which has retired the
Cingular brand. It's the same as the move to the T-Mobile newsgroup from
the Voicestream newsgroup.

LOL, what they "wish" is for everything to be branded AT&T. In the press
releases they've been using "AT&T wireless (formerly, Cingular)." Note
the lower case w in wireless. They aren't branding it as "AT&T Wireless"
it's wireless from AT&T. In any case, "attws" is a pretty good match in
terms of a Usenet news group for "AT&T wireless."

RCR Wireless News, an industry trade newspaper, is now referring to them
as "AT&T Mobility." According to the paper, they're using that name to
avoid confusion with the old AT&T Wireless, and because AT&T themselves
referred to the wireless division that way in some internal documents.

Maybe, but most of them don't have some arsewipe posting the thing
along with their FAQ every 3 days polluting the newsgroup by raising the

No such luck, Steven. I've just been very busy, not only with work, but
also because the busy summer racing season is now underway. (Latest
event pictures: <http://lyonsimaging.smugmug.com/gallery/2986163> )
I don't always have extra time to spend here correcting your endless
misstatements, not to mention it being pretty repetitive and boring.

Navas posting his Cingular "Charter" in the ATTWS Group which
is meaningless and unenforceable is the biggest TROLL of all.

It's unenforceable no matter what the group, but it is very strange that
he spams it to a group that it doesn't apply to.
