How do I enable Media Net on a Blackberry 7100T

| I currently have an LG CU500 with unlimited Media Net on the Cingular/ATT
network. I would like to switch the sim card to an unlocked BlackBerry
7100T so I can synch my calendar and address book with my computer. I can
make calls on the BlackBerry with no problem but have not been able to
access the Cingular Media Net (internet) on the BB. If anyone has any
advice on how to do this it would be greatly appreciated.

You need to set up a proper data profile. See the Cingular FAQ.

I was told you have to have a PDA data connect plan for all Blackberry
products (including the Pearl which is actually considered a
"Smartphone" by the vendor, but I digress) and that a Media Net
account will not work with the device.
Does anyone know if this is true or false?
Out of the box my Peal was configured for the isp.cingular gateway and
not the wap.cingular gateway.
