Hi,

I just bought a new PDA phone, e-ten M700.
It should support GSM/EDGE Quad-band: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz,

Problem:
I am not able receive service via "Cingular" sim card!!
I try to visit e-ten web site, have no luck.

Does anyone use e-ten M700 with cingular? Any tip or help are
appreciated. I am afraid I got a defected phone!!

Thanks.
-Philip

Did you register the IMEA # with Cingular?

Not necessary. I purchased a Samy SGH-a707 Sync off eBay, dropped my
Moto V3 SIM in and it works just fine (3G+, 3G, EDGE, and GPRS). If I
log into my account at AT&T or Cingular, it shows my phone as the
Samy. If I swap the SIM to the V3, it shows the V3. I assume the
system logs the IMEA# automatically.

Not for the initial connection in my area--No registered IMEA, no
service--NOT EVEN 911!

With GSM, it's _not_ necessary to register the IMEI (not IMEA).
You're probably thinking of D-AMPS or CDMA2000.
