sending email to mobile

| What is the email address to use if you want to send a text message to a ATT
cell phone? I've tried number@txt.att.net but it nevers goes through and I
get a delivery failure problem when the email bounces back.

That is the correct gateway address.
What is the failure code and message?
Have you tried NUMBER@cingularme.com ?

cingularme.com address.
The mail is being sent via Outlook. No other mail problems.

Check for subtle errors.
Can you send email to other AT&T/Cingular mobiles?
Does the subscriber have SMS messaging turned off?
Can you send to that gateway from other mail services?
