The industry needed a shakeup. Phone manufacturers have been too
complacent with their offerings. Apple knows good industrial design and
function. Hopefully, we'll see a shake up with the others. I think the
Apple is only going to get better.

Boy, I was paying attention, but I guess I didn't read the nutcase
press. Not one wild guess that I read was anything like this kind of
childish nonsense.
And I don't think many actually believed those were real possibilities,
either. In other words, I don't b=think people expected a jet-pack, I
think they expected to be disappointed.
Whatever they thought, what was released is actually revolutionary and
innovative.

Yes, I suppose there will always be a few nutcase press reports trying
to exaggerate (probably to get readers attention), and certainly there
are always a very few people who actually expect some kind of bizarre
miracle (largely because they minimize the real effort and science that
new products require).
But that doesn't mean that anything would be judged by them. We judge
by the real and intelligent comments, right?
