replacement for v710?

| I just received the letter about the v710 suite.
It seems that now I can get out from under the 710 without such a big
expense but what should I replace it with?
I would really like something with the same voice dialing ability that
will use my motorola bluetooth headset.
The headset offered by verizon was junk so I got a better one at best
buy. I purchased one of the mini SD cards at radio shack because I could
not transfer information via bluetooth so reusing that would be nice but
the headset.
I would dearly love better web and email access but when I got the 710
none of the pda type devices seemed to offer the voice dialing and
bluetooth. I dislike the dummied down web interface which can't display
graphics half the time.
Any suggestions?

| You can try an E815. Basically the same phone. Just has EVDO capability a
little more onboard memory. The only downfall is that it's a digital only
handset if that matters to you.
If that doesn't work, pick up any new phone (E815 orVX8100 preferrably) and
flip it on eBay for $250 or so, so you can buy a brand new V710 on eBay as
well. There's postings out there on how the V710 can now be modified and
opened for full BT access and file transfer via the transflash card. I've
done it and it only takes all of 30 seconds to complete the seem edits!

The E815 would be the logical replacement. And the voice dialing is even
better than on the 710. With the 710, it's a several step process to call
someone in your phonebook. With the 815 you just say 'call Bob home' (as an
example) instead of first saying 'name dial', wait for the voice prompt,
then the name, then if that name has several entries (home, mobile, office,
etc) say that.
Plus there are many other voice commands available on the 815. My favorite
is 'status check' where it says the battery level, signal level, etc.. The
one thing missing in the voice dialing commands on the 815 compared to the
710 is the 'redial' command. But with the simplified dialing commands that's
not a problem for me.
Plus I can use the speakerphone on the 815 with the flip closed, though most
of the time I use it with either my 810 or 820 bluetooth headsets.

I looked at the 9800 in the store before I bought the 815 and it's just got
too much crammed into too little space for my liking. A lot more expensive
than a phone like the 815 too and rather on the large side.
But heck, you're the one paying the bucks, so get whatever you want...:-)

| I got a chance to visit a verizon store and look at the 9800 over the
weekend. Looks fun but the screen is a bit small (smaller than my 710).
The keyboard looks better than the keyboards on the PDA devices.
However, I'd like to get away from the vx brouser.
I looked at some of the pda devices. the best and largest screen was
provided by the xv6600. However, the screen looked dim and the
keyboard was really bad. I could not find a reference of anyone having
one of them except for some early ring volume problems (don't know if
that has been fixed).
The other palm devices looked interesting but more expensive and smaller
screens. I'll have to look at these more closely later.
When my final decision is made it will depend on how much verizon will
give me as credit for my 710. Worst case the 815 looks like an
acceptable replacement but more function would be nice.

| one annoying thing about my 710 is that in the few coverage holes I
encounter say on the way to work the voice dialing seems to have
problems. Sometimes when I say 'name dial' it asks for a number.
Sometimes it just dials a number without telling me what it is going to do.
