will I use up my minutes if I call an 800 number?

| My friend was saying we do not use up minutes when we are on an outbound 800
call - is this true? Work asks me to call 800 numbers, but they do not like
to reimburse for cell phone calls.

Nope, 800 calls are treated as regular calls on a cellphone, so if you call
during 'peak' time, you'll use up 'peak' minutes, etc.

untrue. you use minutes calling any number, except other verizon
users (IN plan) and verizon itself. of course this does not apply,
depending on your plan, if you call during your free nights and
weekends.
submit a reimbursement request to your supervisor based on the number
of minutes you spend on each call at the per-minute rate after your
plan minutes have been used up. if denied get the denial in writing.
if you itemize your taxes you may be able to deduct those costs as an
unreimbursed employee expense.
