LG VX8100 USB Data Cable. Need Software?

I just bought a LG Data cable with software and installed it on my XP
machine.It also cam with a cd of wallpapers and ringtones. However, it
doesn't show the phone anywhere! Nothing in My Computer. What kind of
software am I missing? The cable came with a driver CD but doesn't seem to
have any software.
