Author Appropriate replacement for LG VX10?

I have an LG VX10 that I loved but recently broke into multiple pieces
(please don't ask...).

This phone is a pretty basic phone. It is a clamshell design with a
monochrome LCD, and it doesn't have a camera or an MP3 player or any
other fancy stuff. It also was highly recommended by Consumer's Reports
when I bought it. Is there anyone who could recommend a current phone
that works with Verizon that would be very similar to the VX10, in
regards to design and performance/reliability?

Thanks,
Ken

The LG 3300 IS ABOUT AS BASIC AS YOU CAN GET, PLUS ONLY 29.99 FOR 2-YR
PRICING. LG-4650 IS NEXT UP. NOT BAD AT ALL. i HAVE AN LG 6100. VERY
NICE. TOO BAD YOU DIDNT HAVE INSURANCE.

Thanks for the reply. The 3300 doesn't have an outer LCD, and I don't
particularly like the big speakerphone on the 4650 - I don't think I'll
use that feature much, and it looks a bit strange. Is the 6100 bloated
with extras or is it still pretty easy to use? I'm not looking
exclusively at LG phones, although I realize that feature-wise they
will be most similar to my VX10.

I would recommend the inexpensive Motorola V276 or more costly
Motorola 810 0r older 710. While having more features than you may
need they are reported to have excellent reception. They all have
excellent speakerphones which may be helpful to you while driving.

I go along with TeddeLI and recomend the Motorola phones. You can buy
the v260, no camera but a speakerphone, direct from Motorola off their
website for $159 IIRC with no service and contractg renewal needed. IF
you use the promo code MOTO15 you'll get and extra 15% off. they don't
sell this in the Verizon store, omly at Radio Shack and they'll try and
tell you retain is $300, balderdash!
