so I got the bitpim to work. Problem is, it only pulls my calender,
phone book, wallpaper, and ringtone. How do I unlock the SMS messages
and import them to bitpim so I can print them out? I can open them if I
go into the filesystem tab, but whn I open them it just opens a binary
.dat file. Does any one know of a converter to read these .dat files?
Please, I really need to get these printed.

Why don't you ask the people who write Bitpim??
http://bitpim.sourceforge.net/

Actually, this is a fine place to ask... I'm sure the author of that
program already gets enough questions like this... ones that many of us in
the group could probably answer for him. As for the SMS stuff - it isn't
yet supported on the vx6100. I've been keeping my fingers crossed, waiting
for that feature as well, but so far it doesn't look like it is on the
fast-track to get done.

Unless questions are very significant, I don't answer them anywhere
except on the BitPim groups. The very simple reason is to keep
the answers in one place so people can easily find them, rather
than scattering them around dozens of different sites and forums.
And in many many cases the questions are already answered in the
FAQ.
