I meant as a handset overall.

It would have to have a camera (but nearly all do now). Games are of
no importance to me.

I like the look of the treo but have heard about a LOT of people having
problems with it crashing etc.

Analog capability
VX6100 or V710. CDM9900 is by far the best if you can find one on eBay

Digital only
E815 if you need reception or A670 is size does matter
