but.... hubby's v710 works beautifully with the BT headset.... was
there a v710 without? Or is the complaint about the Verizon-crippling?

The BT headset functionality has always worked fine. What people are
complaining about is that the ability to move files (pictures /
ringtones / video) over BT was disabled
