"Handset My Account"? (Was: No Mobile Web...)
|
|
|
| So I saw a mention of Verizon's "Handset My Account" in another thread
and went to the web page referenced there:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/...AY&item=_FAQ_TO
PIC&topicID=274
Sounds like an interesting feature. But I can't find instructions
anywhere on Verizon's web site. I searched for the phrase "handset my
account" and the only hits I got were the main FAQ page and the page I
mentioned above. Neither tells how to do it.
So how does one access this service? Does anyone know?
TIA

On mobile web 2.0 devices: launch the web browser, and on the home page,
it's Option 7, then Option 1.
Your phone *must* be mobile web enabled to use this service.

I can get the main screen then it goes to the point where I'm asked to
input my zip and from there, all it does is
"sending....................." and makes no further connection.

I can access the site but it says "We are currently improving our web site
to serve you better." They are probably going to eliminate some more
services.

It must be WAP 2.0 capable. It does not have to be mobile web enabled. It's
a free service.

If you don't subscribe to Mobile Web, the My Account pages are the only
ones you can go to. They've done some "magic" to make them (and only
them) accessible to non-subscribers. Sort of like how you can dial *611
and 911 on non-activated phones.
