Has anyone successfully configured a Verizon Wireless Broadband card to
work with a wireless router to share the broadband signal with other
computers? I do not have much experience with IP stuff, but my basic
thoughts are as follows:
- Verizon card is in PCMCIA slot, leaving the network port available in
the laptop.
- Internet Sharing Service built in XP will pass private IP #'s through
the network port.
- IF (only) I could get the router to bind to one of the IP #'s
provided by the MS Internet Sharing Service and hand those off, it
seems like it could work, but I haven't been able to find or determine
the details to put it together, or to identify why it wouldn't work if
there is some obvious limitation that I can't see. Any
advice/direction would be appreciated. Thanks.
