I assume that the 700w, since it has verizon's broadband capability built
in, does not have standard wifi capability. Since it has an SDIO slot I
assume that wifi could be added via a wireless card.

Am I correct?

Sometimes I may want to used a wifi connection.

You would be correct. Palm sells a 802.11b SDIO wi-fi card. I use it with
my 700w for faster connections (web video, radio ands Skype) as I live
outside an EVDO service area.
