| Current phone is a Samsung a650.
I will need to upgrade my phone soon. All I really need is good
reception, a headphone feature, and NationalAccess. Cameras, music, and
the like are of no use. I travel a lot but only in the USA.
What phones should I consider?

Yeah, I said that before I got my E815. But the camera has come in really
useful a few times already. I especially like this picture I took with it:

I know it's not publication quality, but I like it.

Nice picture. How much does it cost to get it from the camera to the
computer, or do you just hook it up via USB?

At the time, I didn't have a USB cable yet. I moved it to my TransFlash
card, then took the card out and put it in a reader attached to my
computer. That tends to be a real PITA, though, so now that I have both a
cable and bluetooth (and have enabled Obex in the phone) I'll be doing it
the easy way.

Beam me up Scotty; no intelligent life here. (Whoops, missed a word)
I asked about a simple phone, good connectivity, a headset and thats
about it. I do not need nor desire a camera phone, music, or other
features. My job does not allow the camera for security reasons. I am a
nuclear materials engineer.
Instead I got someone trying to sell me on his camera phone. I even
posted a picture of a train. Totally useless.
I need a robust phone with good connectivity (signal). It is a phone to
me. Thats it. I don't need a camera with poor resolution, no music
features with a lousy speaker, and finally no toaster.

whew.. That good, because the toaster availability has been pushed back
to 3rd Q '06.

| If there's a specific reason WHY you don't want or can't have a
feature, doesn't it help to be clear about that in the first place?
I'm pretty sure there's a Motorola that's analogous to the E815 but
without a camera. A couple of my officemates (not here now, otherwise
I'd ask) have them because they too can't have cameras due to security
restrictions, but other than the lack of lens, the casings appear very
similar.
Having said that, way to go for insulting those who might have had
better recommendations if you'd offered more specific reasons for your
criteria.

No reason for Scotty to beam you up, then. Even with you here, there's
still nothing intelligent.
If you had mentioned that you *couldn't* have a camera phone, I never would
have said anything about how camera phones aren't as useless as people
think.
I believe it has been mentioned that the V276 is supposed to be about as
good as the E815 but has no camera. (Although why I would want to be
helpful to you any more is beyond me.)
