I had a similar problem and could not fix it. I took the phone back to
verizon and they couldn't fix the problem, luckily the phone was under
warranty so they replaced it. Unfortunately the replacement was not
much better, after talking on it for any extended amount of time (15
minutes or so) the phone begins to act funky. The phone will turn off
randomly, then sometimes work when turned off then on othertimes it
will cycle through a reboot cycle endlessly. As this is the second
VX3300 phone I've had that has had problems I believe that the phone
must be poorly designed. Maybe it just gets too hot, bad wiring,
whatever it is I'll be taking VX3300 back and demanding another model
of phone.
