I am looking to buy a new phone. Don't need anything fancy only have phone for
emergencies. I don't want to spend a lot of money. I am considering Motorola V276
or Samsung 850. Which do you think is better. Don't want LG have one and don't really like it.

The new Motorola V325. Available now on the web, next week in the stores.
Unbelievable Motorola product. Drastically upgraded V276.

It would seem ability to send and receive from the most places should be prime criteria so a
tri-mode would be best.

Is there a version of the v325 that does not have a camera?

Thanks for your imput. I don't know what tri-mode is. Do you know if V276 is tri-mode? The V325 is more than I want to spend.

Tri-mode means it can operate on three frequencies - 800, 850, and 1900
Mhz, and use both analog and digital. For a more thorough explanation,

Tri-mode means

1. Analog 850 MHz operation
2. Digital 850 MHz operation
3. Digital 1900 MHz operation

Analog only is rare these days in most areas, but its nice as a backup
when you go in extreme rural areas.

Yes, the V276 is Tri-Mode, and an excellent phone. Hard to beat for great
reception and sound quality.
