Did A New Firmware Update ever came out in LG VX5200, that's the phone I
got, and how do we know if a new firmware update came out or not for the
phone?

Why would you care? We've got two of them and they work perfectly. I'd be
afraid to update the firmware. -Dave

Well The Volume In This Phone is also low when you got public places,
when the cellphone ringtone rings, when I am outside, it doesn't as
loud as it supposed too, even at High Volume in Master Volume

Go Tools, Call Settings, Auto-Volume, ON
That does seem to help a little. The main thing you can do is change the
default ringtone to something upbeat and catchy with lots of high notes.
That helps a little more.
I have no problem with the ringtone volume. I wish the speakerphone volume
would go up a notch or two, though. -Dave

Why should the OP care? Maybe an update would solve the problems described
by said OP.
I know that Ver 6 and VBer 7 that came out recently for the VX8100 fixes a
couple of issues.
It also added VCast MOD, in the case of Ver 7.
The OP in his/her post asked a valid question, to which you replied, IMHO,
in a smart-XXX way.
I say to the OP, call Verizon and or check out the LG and Verizon forums at
www.howardforums.com

It wasn't smart-XXX at all. If you've been following this ng, you would
know that Verizon's firmware updates are often more trouble than they are
worth. -Dave

I read this group daily. Have been for many years.
This is the first I've seen a post on firmware updates.
It may be that it isn't VZW's fault. It may be the fault of
the equipment mfg.
