I told people several years ago they were morons for sending in their valid
phone numbers and real names to some mysterious entity that "promised" to
respect their privacy, and now, here is a giant long legalese list of
exceptions..."

Everyone you ever gave your phone number to, your bank, your hospital etc
can call you 100 times a day, send you messeges etc.
Everytime one of you morons enter in an online sweepstakes, vote for your
favorit AMerican idol or Biggest PUssy in the world! or "spamaroma"
contest, you have given your legitmate phone number to spammers.

Charities, political parties, the list is endless of those who can call you
WITHOUT your permission!

What you have done is given them all a legitimate name and phone that they
can now buy from your state and from the Federal government, who SELLS
those names and phone numbers!!!!

Simple people trust people, and their government. Stupid is as stupid does.

Now, you want me to tell you about the great "401K pension plan" scam? Do
you really believe those trillions of dollars just sitting there in 401K
plans won't be stolen?

If you don't can I sell you on an original 401K plan (all stolen 25 years
ago by the democrat congress to fund welfare programs)? Moster cables or a
used car or some time shares in Baghdad?
