| I decided to do a PRL update on my V3M to eliminate that as an issue before
I complain about a battery that only gives 15 minutes of talk time. When
prompted, I told it to "update software" (I think that was the term they
used - it's hard to remember after so long) instead of just updating the
PRL. That was three hours ago. Ever since then, it's been alternating
between "Activation Successful" and "Commit OK!". I'm a little bit hesitant
about stopping it. If it's downloading new firmware, I don't want to stop it
at a critical moment and brick it. I did my wife's phone at about 4:00 this
morning (She has suddenly started getting very short battery life as well)
and it ran for about 1.5 hours. I know I can call Verizon and ask them, but
I want to get a few second opinions here, since advice received here might
well be more useful than what I get from Verizon.

After commit ok, you're done. You can hit end at anytime.

| Option # IS a PRL update...
The ONLY way to update firmware is to hook a cable up.
This is done by the local VZW tech or if you have PST or similar.
There are no OTA firmware updates.

It finished, the lady's voice told you that, but you weren't listening
to the phone at the time.
