Just updated my s/w for my Chocolate today at the Verizon store.

Now it actually has a speaker phone. The camera button on the side
now dual functions as a camera and speaker phone button. Sound
is actually quite good.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why Verizon would of disabled
it in the first place.

Anyway, software update was free of charge.
