This phone has a super sharp 3 inch display which uses technology
direct from Sharp's AQUOUS LCD TV's like a brightness sensor which
adjust the brightness based on ambient lightning and 3 different TV
modes. Its called the Sharp 911SH introduced by Softbank Japan. The
Sharp 911SH will be available...

If eventually introduced in the US, I wonder how that will square with
the various state laws forbidding a television in the front seat where
it can be viewed by the driver.

well so far the possession of a hand held TV is NOT a crime yet. Give the
State of California a chance..they will be the first.

If they are, hopefully the rest will follow.

Geez, I hope not! I just bought one of these for my laptop and it makes
a picture that's better than the $5K TVs at CC!

HDTV can't tolerate movement, though. It locks up as soon as you start
moving the car, even right under the million watt towers. Multipath
interference that used to make the ghosts on UHF-TV now just make it
LOCK.

Sitting in a restaurant watching the football game on CBS in High
Definition, this guy in a Comcrap Cable shirt came up to me and asked me
where I was getting the signal from. "I'm stealing it from the Comcrap
cable on that pole.", I told him, proudly. After he got through stomping
around, I said, "Listen, jerk, TV is STILL free on-the-air, whether
Comcrap likes it or not. Buzz off!" The guys at Waffle House sure
appreciate me bringing the ball game into their workplace...

The stick just EATS a laptop battery in 40 minutes. The stick runs off
USB power and gets almost too hot to touch. The laptop is so busy
processing the massive amount of data pouring into its USB port at
480Mbps, you can't do anything else while it's processing HDTV and the
cooling fan comes on constantly at high speed as long as the battery
lasts....(c;

The picture off the Philips UHF panel antenna I put up 20' above the roof
over the computer shack has a MUCH better HDTV picture than what the
cable TV people are delivering. Here, I get 8 channels of analog TV and
10 channels of ATSC digital TV...for FREE!

Is the TV phone off the air or through the cellphone system for $$$$?
How can you stand to watch anything on that tiny screen that's hard to
read the time off of??
