Audiovox CDM-9000 and E911

| Does anyone know if the Audiovox CDM-9000 is E911 compliant? I checked with
Audiovox but they no longer offer cell phone support, and the company who
took that over for them hasn't gotten back to me. I have since replaced the
CDM-9000, for my Verizon account, but would like to keep it as a backup if
it's E911 complaint (which is now required). Verizon themselves can't tell
me even they originally sold me the phone. TIA

Judging by the fact that it's not on phonescoop, I'd have to say no
unless someone has some link to show otherwise.
How old is the phone?
Think about it - if it's no longer supported, likely it's not.

I figured as much, I just didn't want to part with it if there was a chance
it could be used as a backup. I got the phone just around the time E911 was
introduced by Verizon Wireless so there was a chance of it being complaint.
Audiovox has since left the cellular business so they no longer
support any phones AFIK. But I did finally hear back from UTStarcom - the
company who took over for them, and it isn't compliant, unfortunately.
Thanks just the same.

| Tim,
Don't toss it!
Activate it on Page Plus as a prepaid "backup".
I had a few 9000s----great phone, bulletproof and unreal battery life.
Hate to see them go into the "big bin in the sky".

I'll look into that. Many thanks.
