Echos with bluetooth earpiece

| I've heard that echos come from the phone tower and not the phone
itself, but ever since I got a bluetooth earpiece, people have been
complaining of an echo. I have an LG VX8100 phone and a JBT150
earpiece. Any suggestions? Should I take it back and get a different
one?

| I have the vx8100 with a Motorola HS850 Bluetooth earpiece. Whoever said
"echos come from the phone tower" -- I'd like to know how anyone could prove
that. I learned my echo 'problem' after reading a suggestion from someone
on PhoneScoop (sorry I can't remember who it was, otherwise I would give em
props).
The output speaker and the microphone are VERY CLOSE to each other. When
the person speaks, their voice is being retransmitted into the microphone
and they're hearing it again. SOLUTION? Turn the volume down on your
earpiece. With my setup (shown above), if I change it to MED/LOW or MED,
the echo disappears.
Hope this helps.

| I agree. Everytime some tells me they hear echo. turning down my earpiece
volume always helps.

| But I already have trouble understanding people with the earpiece,
because the quality is lower than it is without an earpiece or with a
wired earpiece. Should I try to find an earpiece that has higher sound
quality, or will they all be the same? What kind should I get?

| I had the echo problem with both the Motorola 700 and 850 on my E815.
Finally got a Motorola H3 and no problems at all.
