There is a terrible one second delay from the time the button is pressed
till the picture is taken on this camera/cell phone/pocket PC. People are
very hard to shot with this delay. A lot of head turning can occur in one
second! Is there any alternative software available to run the camera on
this unit?

I know cell phones don't have the greatest cameras in the world, but it's
nice having a 'always with you' camera for those chance shots.

No, this is a phone, the camera is an add-on toy
