8100 used as a modem

| I am trying to use my LG 8100 as a modem. I created a dial up connection to
dial #777 and I keep getting a user name and password was denied. What do I
need to set up on the 8100 or my system to get my phone to work as a modem?

If you are trying to use National Access, your voice plan must have
"Natl Enhanced Svc Access" included. Otherwise, you will get that error
message.
For National Access, your user name is yourphonenumber@vzw3
g.com and
your password is vzw.
For Quick 2 Net, your user name is qnc and the password is also qnc.

that worked for me until sometime in january 2006. after several days
of research and struggling, i found someone within verizon who
advised me that they were no longer allowing customers high speed
data access unless they purchased a specific high speed data plan.
you can connect 1t 14.4 with the qnc/qnc.
sad.
