PPC6700 / VX6700 - which carrier to use???

I'd really like to get a new Pocket PC 6700, but am unsure on which
carrier to go with to get service for it.
I have been a long-time VZW user, but Sprint's monthly charges look
awfully appealing:
Sprint: 1400 minutes/unlimited EVDO data/500 text msgs: $99/month
VZW: 1350 minutes/unlimited EVDO data/500 text msgs: $120/month
Also, I hear that the VZW version of the 6700 is crippled, and that
Sprint's 6700 is not. has anyone else heard the same? can VZW's 6700
be uncrippled to give the same functionality as Sprint's 6700?
any thoughts/comments/suggestions from current 6700 users on either
system?
tks.

Depends on the coverage you need. Sprint generally has poorer coverage than
VZW if you travel away from most metropolitan areas.
