Razr (V3c) and USB charging

| Got a razr today. The manual says you can plug it into your computer's
USB port to charge and I happened to have the right cable. However,
when I did so, the exterior screen showed 'unauthorized charging'.
Huh? Now I run freebsd, and I wonder if the fact that its a non-windows
machine has something to do with this. Anyone else running non-windows
and hit this? Anyone know if the phone can be damaged (by overcharging)
in non-windows machines?

You may be not putting out more enough power for the phone to see. Plug it
in direct and see if it still does it.
The charger wall wart is not windows. :) Maybe try another machine.

I believe you have to actually have the USB drivers installed for it
to sucessfully charge.
Install these, reboot and see if it charges successfully.
