Hi,
Whenever I try to exit out of VZAccess manager, a message box comes up
saying
"Please close 'Preferences' dialog before exiting VZAccess Manager.".
I do not have the prefrences dialog open! I have to end the process to
finally get it to close. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the
application but it still happens. No amount of reboots seem to help.
Has anyone else ever experienced this? I searched the web and groups
for the message but found nothing.

The message appears no matter what way I try to exit the application.
Close button in top right corenver / File > Exit / right-click tray
icon.

If anyone has any ideas I would appriciate it.
Thanks,
Joe

Check your startup folder, one of your installs may have stuck something in
there.. Also do a start/run/msconfig to see what processes are currently
running

I have run several versions of VZ Access manager and never had that happen.
Go to install/remove programs...rip it out and reboot.
Reinstall it and uncheck "Run at startup"..unless you really need that.
Also you might want to disable "Venturi" as it seems to NOT get along with
many programs. It really screws up my connection to a personal video server
(Slingbox). This is on the Kyocera KPC-650 Datacard.

Thank you Bob and Peter for your replies. I figured out the problem.
It was because I had another program open that also had a window titled
"Preferences". The other program is "Juice", a podcast downloader. If
I have Juice open (Even minimized to tray) I get the message when I try
to exit VZAccess Manager. But if I exit Juice and then try to close
VZ, it exits without a problem. I think this makes the bug two-fold.
1) Why isn't Juice completely removing the Preferences dialog when it
is not in use (Instead of just hiding it). And 2) Why is VZAccess
Manager looking for ANY window titled "Preferences" instead of only
windows that belong to itself.

Thanks again,
Joe
