T-flash transfer with E815
|
|
|
| I have a SanDisk 256MB T-flash card.
1. The phone sees the card and I can save files to it.
2. When I insert the card into my multi-card reader on my PC, it
doesn't see the file structures at all.
Does Motorola format the card using some funky schema that PC can't
understand?
Thanks
Roger

Mine works with my phone and my multicard reader on my PC.

| Mine works too. Maybe you've got a bad transflash card? You could try
formatting the card via your phone and try again.

Likewise...
I have used a 128MB with my v710 and E815. Now I use a 512MB on my E815. No
problems reading them with both a standard USB reader or even with the IP
Gear pen drive.
Interesting Notes:
1. There are two different places to look for files. One is the parent
directory and one is under Motorola -> Shared -> Pictures (or video, etc).
The deeper folder is where they land if you transfer from your built in
memory.
2. Sandisk has just released a 1GB Transflash/MicroSD. The physical
density is unbelievable. It was just a few years ago that I used a Jaxx
drive (actually I had the one called SyJet). They offered 1GB or 1.5GB in a
$75 rotating cartridge. But now my fingernail has more volume than a gig of
data! Cheez!
