preserving my current 917# and getting a 703#

| Here's the situation
I have 917# that I've had for years.. The contract has expires more
than a year ago, since I had an old vx4400 (and a kickass startac
before that!).. In september of last year I added a 70$/mo wireless
card to the account, I think it's a 2yr contract, and is tied to the
917 contact. I just bought a Treo 600p (just shipped today!, didn't
even know it was out until like 2 days ago), so I guess I extended the
cell phone contract by another 2 years. I have signed up for the data
inclusive plan. However, what I require is a 703#, but still would
like to keep my 917#. (I guess since verizon no longer blocks DUN on
the treo, I am still stuck with the pcmcia card for another 1.5yr)
Since I am pretty sure you can't have 2 numbers tied to a single#,
I've thought of 2 options.
1) Sign up for a family plan, and just forward all 917 calls to 703#
(all IN calls are free, right :)
* potential problem: I don't know if you can add a line to
data-inclusive plans (e.g. are there family plans with data?)
2) Transfer the # to either vonage or sunrocket (I already have
sunrocket for a 'landline' 703#), and just forward it to my cell phone
(probably cheaper too)
* potential (big?) problem, how do I do this w/o either getting
screwed by verizon (they'll think i cancelled the phone#) OR w/o
losing my number of I get verizon to assign a 703# to my cell.
Any alternative suggestions (besides having 2 accounts) are
appreciated.
Thanks

Should be pretty simple.. I had both a data card and a phone in Maryland,
both with a 410 area code, and moved to Rathdrum Idaho (couldn't order pizza
via cell since I had an out of state number).. Did an EZmove for the phone
line to my new place in idaho (left the data card at my MD number)... Ezmove
lets you change the number (and in my case even the billing office), with NO
change/increase in contract.... Now I still have a data card with a MD phone
number, and a phone with an Idaho number...Both are on autopay so I don't
have to worry about where the bill gets mailed to, actually went pappeless
and don't even get a paper bill anymore (you can get it online as a pdf
file).
I pointed out the ezmove for one reason, while the account/contract was set
up in MD, they couldn't assign an Idaho number from the MD office, with the
ezmove they just transferred theaccount with no penalty for doing so..
There is a however to that tho, my sister tried to do it for her kid that
went to school out of state and was on a family shared plan, and multiple
phones on a shared plan can't be moved between offices (they can have a
different number ONLY if it is out of the same billing office), otherwise
they make it into two contracts..
