Author Free Phonebook transfer software?

I've got a data cable to hook my phone to the USB port but need some
software to transfer the phonebook to my computer so I can move it to
another phone.

I attached the phone and cable and WIN XP Pro SP2 installed the drivers--
but I can't see the phone in Explorer or the Device Manager.

Any suggestions?

Jos.

Motorola Phone tools. Ebay is a good place to start. Or Google it and you
might find it.

If you get sick and tired of looking for it elsewhere, you may just get
annoyed enuf to actually go to the Motorola website (www.motorola.com) and
download it from there.... :)

Sorry, I should have mentioned in the OP but it's an LG phone-- so the Moto
software won't work...

Does your phone work with activesynch? I use that and a USB cable for my
PDA. (phones a moto so I use MPT for that)
