I have a VX8000 now and generally like it. Considering upgrading to the
8300.

Does the 8300 show the ring mode on the outside screen? (i.e. silent or
vibrate)

I understand that the 8300 will not display text messages on the outside
screen like the 8000 does. Personally, I like this change. I don't want
other people who might see my phone sitting on a desk to read my incoming
texts. But....

Does the arrival of a text messages show a visible icon on the front screen?

Does the front screen show a visible icon alerting the arrival of a
voicemail?

Can photos be copied to the mini-SD card and removed from the phone? (I
don't think so, but thought I'd ask anyway)

I could not determine this info by reading HF or the LG website.

Thanks.

-Frank

Be aware that the 8300 uses a micro, not a mini SD card. The micro comes
with a standard SD carrier that makes it readable and writable in a normal
SD card slot. But if you lose the carrier I don't think there's a card
reader
available that will take the micro by itself.

Actually there are several card readers available. I just picked up
the San disk USB stick reader at Best Buy. Works with all forms of SD
from standard to Micro. Around $19.00 if I remember correctly.
