Hello guys, I have the motorola E815 phone and my problem is. when the phone
rings the person calling phone number doesn't show on the display while
phone is closed. the display is just blank. this doesn't happen all the
time, but enough to upset me especially when someone calls who I don't want
to talk with. so hope someone can help me out. thanks

Mine displays the number with the lid closed. Is your
display showing the word "restricted" or "unknown"? Or does
it stay completely dark with the time showing?

make sure all your contacts have the area code + the number.

Is it nescessar and/or recommended to prepend the "1-" to numbers as well as
the area code? It seems like sometimes I can make calls without the "1" and
sometimes it is needed.

Is that a phone in your pocket,
or are you just happy to see me?

All entries in my contacts are area code + number only. I never had a
case where a call was rejected without a leading "1". Is there anything
unique about the number where you had to prepend 1?

I haven't made enough long distance calls to determine a pattern (if any).
However there was one number I was trying to call that seemed like it just
wouldn't work until I added the leading 1.
