verizon SmS-to-email gateway?

| My previous carriers had what I think is called an "SMS-to-email
gateway "
The idea is that you write an SMS msg which begins with any real email
address, followed by a space, followed by text.
Then you send it as an ordinary SMS msg to your carrier's magic
gateway instead of to a phone #. Your carrier picks it up from the
gateway and forwards it as an email to the email address at the
beginning of your msg.
Both Tmobile and Cingular provide this service. Does VZ? And if it
does, what is the magic gateway number?
TIA
Sorry for the antispam inconvenience.

Won't VZW automatically do this if you address your message to an
e-mail address instead of a 10-digit phone number?

That's the way I do it. But, it's still a TXT so number of characters is
limitted. Still, it works.

There is none, or if there is, it's automatic. Just send it to an
e-mail address instead of a phone number. No need to put the 'send
to' address in the message body.
