Prices of Motorola Razrs have dropped a lot since the previous posts.
Most of the big vendors like amazon, letstalk.com are offering razrs
for free. Is it because of the MotoQ launch. Visit the following link
to see prices from major online vendors.

What would the price of the Razr have to do with the Q launch?

Quite a bit actually.
The RAZR was the incumbent 'cool' phone...
The Q came along and now is the new 'must have' phone.

Demand for the RAZR had dropped considerably.

I would disagree. I don't think they compete with one another. The Q is
a handheld that competes to some degree with the Blackberrys, Palm Treo,
etc. The Razr is a cell phone. Cell phones are expensive when they first
come out ... gradually, the price comes down. It is natural and
expected. The Razr is no different.

gets 'clipped'.
