Is there anyway to suspend a phone for a month?

| It's on a Family share plan, but past the 2 year commitment and I would
like to suspend it for about 30 days while I am away on holiday in another
country.
Can this be done?

to save $13.52? and risk a contract change? Herdly worth it IMO.

Good point :)

| In my experience, once you are out of contract and on month-to-month the
only changes VZW will allow is a change in your monthly minute allowance.
Pretty much anything beyond that would trigger a contract "renewal".

Why not call and ask? Don't go to a Verizon store, they're often
staffed with people who know little or nothing about anything, call
them, their online service people seem better qualified to answer
questions.

Call Verizon. They have a provision for a "vacation suspension." I have
done it in the past.

| No problem: There may be a $5-$15 charge, as I recall, but can-do. While
it doesn't "extend" your contract, the time that you are "away" does not
count toward your contract time either.
So: if you have 10 months left on your contract, and put it on vacation
suspend for 30 days, when you come back from vacation, you'll still have 10
months left on your contract. I've never seen this affect your contract
length, and people do this all the time. The only time this is a problem,
is if you are the MAIN, and your other lines still need to be active as
shares. Then you might have to juggle your lines around, so a share goes on
vacation. If you put them all on vacation suspend, no big deal. Hope this
helps. dr
