Nokia 6256i Playlist MP3s

| I have a 6256i with a 1 gig mmc card. load it up with mp3s, podcasts,
etc and it plays all of them well. ONE AT A TIME! when it comes to
the end of a song it just waits till you send it to the next one. Ive
checked the docs, web, and manual...no mention of how to get it to
shuffle, play a list, or even create a list?? whats up with that?
Anyone have any insight? THX.

Yeah. Don't waste any more time on it. It's a "feature". The 6256i's
brother, the 6255i offered by Alltel (and, likely, others) can do
this, but VZW must have told Nokia to leave it out. :-( I suspect
this is something that could be hacked on the phone, but I don't
have the necessary s/w or expertise...
I would have liked to have been in the conference room when Nokia
and Verizon were having it out over offering this phone. It's a nice
phone; I really like mine. But, clearly, the phone is not everything
Nokia designed it to be; yet it wasn't quite the network-dependent
brick VZW wanted it to be, either. I suspect both companies were
happy to see it disappear under the waves.
