Author Verizon V710 BT DUN?

Does the 710 actually support BT DUN or was this also crippled by
Verizon? Is it "hackable" to enable it?

nope. i tether my v710 to my laptop for DUN all the time. no hacks

I have a year-old 710, and use BT DUN for my MOU plan all the time.
Worked right out of the box.

By "tether" you mean via cable correct? I am asking about BT!

Bluetooth works fine with the V710 for me.
Of course the computer has to have BT installed
or maybe a USB dongle. USN "retarded" 40 year"
