Free calls Mexico and Japan!

| Just got this in my email....
"Don’t forget — this weekend, call any phone in Mexico for free. It
couldn’t be simpler. And, mark your calendar for free calling to Japan next
weekend."
Oh, wait.....sorry. It was from Skype. We can call any landline in Mexico
all weekend or in Japan next weekend for free...unlimited service...That
doesn't mean 10GB/month-or-else, either.
Sorry...never mind...
God, whatever you do don't hook a Skype Phone to your EVDO broadband on
Verizon! That's probably a corporate capital offense!.....but very
amusing....(c;
Hmm....unlimited EVDO on an Aircard...Skype free until 2007 to any phone,
any time, USA/canada plus these weekend freebies to other places.....
Skype will run on a dialup or 1Xtt snail speeds without the video where
EVDO isn't offered.
Skype uses any ol' port you like, specific to your own Skype......hard to
block them all....
Maybe Skype mobile isn't so far fetched after all! Verizon's crapware
screws the Ethernet port, but not the USB port where the Skype Phone little
cell plugs in.....(c;

In other words - why doesn't Verizon offer free calling on the weekend
to the UK, Mexico and Japan - like Skype is doing?
One of these years there will be no toll and the whole world will be a
local call. But until then, you can catch these freebies as they come
by.

is called ICE now... Course that's only known to anyone from the planet

Must be an east coast west coast thing.. In LA and Vegas, they know who ICE
is and have no clue who INS is.... Guess you should have said ask an EAST
