| Just got an email from Skype reminding me that all calls to Japanese phones
are free all weekend from the USA and Canada on SkypeOut. I have a friend
in Okinawa and we talk a lot on Skype-to-Skype. We'll be testing the phone
service out this weekend. It isn't much of a savings. Japan is only
US2.3c/min, normally. I get SkypeIn calls forwarded to my cellphone number
when I'm away from the computer, so my buddy in Okinawa, or anyplace else,
can call from his Skype computer to me for free, anytime. Even the
software calls on Skype-to-Skype forward, which is really nice. Next year
those calls will cost me 2.1c/min, I think, but am not sure.

Skype has a blog/news page I found.

I found out on it Netgear isn't alone in the wifi-direct phones. There's
now FOUR new Skype-to-wifi-direct phones coming out. My Netgear ships
tomorrow, I hope...(c; Found it on a Google search for $225, already
discounted nicely.
Anything you can do to take the load off the cellphone ripoff-by-the-minute
helps, right?....(c;
Don't forget to point the Skype cam away from your chair if you just got
out of the shower....hee hee.....(c;
