Need Help: Motorola V325

| My wife updated to this unit and I got Datapilot ver. 3.9 from a friend
and loaded it into the wifes machine. I noticed that my phone, the V710, is
in the drop down but her 325 isn't and it will not auto detect the unit.
Her old LG VX-6100 is on the list so I can download the phonebook but
I need to transfer into the new unit.
I have the usb data cable and it's loaded with the correct drives. It's
seen
as a modem in control panel.
Is there another upgrade to Datapilot or is there a different program you
V325 users are using?
Thanks for all the help in advance.

I just got a V325. I bought the Motorola Phone Tools from
"http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EYTBOS/102-0098965-3475349?ie=UTF8"
for $7.95, including the USB cable. They didn't send the second cable,
which I really want to transfer the phone book from my old Motorola phone.
Verizon disabled the file transfer and Multimedia software (in order to
force people to send pictures over the air). There is a workaround to
this problem, that involves editing one byte in the "SEEM" and then
forcing Motorola Phone Tools to not auto-detect the phone, and manually
setting the phone as a V323m rather than a V325. Once you do this,
Motorola Phone Tools is fully functional, though it's not a very stable
program. Never try to transfer large photos to the phone, they won't
display, and you can't delete them (you have to do a master clear).
Often when you select a photo as a background, the phone hangs, and you
have to power off, but when you power back on the background is there.
