Sam. A670 - Appt Sched "no more empty space"

If I try to schedule an appointment on my A670, it gives me a message
"no more empty space".
I have no appointments currently scheduled and I've only scheduled
about 6 events in two years with the phone... all of which are long
expired. I did a battery out restart (aka reboot your computer) and a
Master Reset (aka try reinstalling MS-Windows :-) on the advice of VZ
support. No help. Their only suggestion was "go see a tech at the
store".
I only have about 100 contacts, maybe 23 photos, no stored text
messages. All of those features still work fine storing new items.
Ideas ?

Did you look through your menus while in the appointments areas?
I don't know Samsungs, but my Sanyos have a "View Memory" option,
and some sub-menus for "Erase Old" and "Erase All".
Keep looking for out-of-the-way menus in non-obvious places.

Yeah.. been there... looked for that. No erase options that I can
find.

Thanks... but that does not do it either unless you read between the
lines.
You don't get the choice to "erase all" in the scheduler unless you
are positioned on an event already. The only way to clear old events
(which apparently do take up space forever) is to work your way back
in the scheduler until you find an old event - then use that to get
access to "erase all", then erase your old events.
Very lame from a design viewpoint, but a workable workaround.
